The Kadya Choir

Welcome to the homepage of the Kadya Choir, a cultural and educational youth project initiated by Yiddish Summer Weimar. The Kadya Choir is an international, intercultural encounter that brings together teenage girls from the schola cantorum in Weimar, the Voices of Peace choir in Tel Aviv-Jaffa and the Children's Song Workshop in Yiddish Summer Weimar to explore the Yiddish language and Yiddish culture while learning a song cycle composed by Dr. Alan Bern based on children's poems by the Polish Jewish poet Kadya Molodovsky.

Thank you for visiting us! Be sure to look for The Young Kadyas film at a theater near you, and we hope you enjoy the music and inspiring story of the Kadya Choir!
